Ken Segall doesn’t like Apple’s new Genius ads

Finally, I know what to think about the latest Mac ads.

Bartending: Memoirs of an Apple Genius

If you’ve ever wondered what it’s like to work behind the Genius Bar, then Bartending: Memoirs of an Apple Genius is the book for you.

Written by Stephen Hackett, proprietor of 512 Pixels and former lead Genius in Memphis, Bartending is a collection of short, often humorous, stories that offer some insight into the harassed and hectic life of Apple Retail. Stephen is a true old-school Mac user, so most of the stories are from the days of PowerPC Macs and the original iPhone.

After reading this, you won’t look at a Genius the same way again. Despite the job title, they’re just everyday people who get paid to deal with hundreds of angry people all clamoring for free repairs.

It’s available for Kindle or as an ePub for $4.99.
